How do freelancers calculate billable hours? Log each work session with a start and end time, subtract any break, and multiply the total hours by your hourly rate. This calculator does that automatically as you fill in each row and shows a running total.
Can I calculate what to invoice a client? Yes. Enter your hourly rate and currency, fill in your hours for the billing period, and the total pay shown is what you'd invoice for that time. Print or save it as a PDF to attach to the invoice.
Can I track more than one client at once? Run a separate timesheet per client — each can use its own hourly rate. Print or save each one individually for a clean, per-client record.
Does this work for irregular freelance hours? Yes. There's no limit on rows, so split sessions, irregular days, and part-time work across a week or month all fit into one running total.
Is there an overtime option for contractors? Yes, though most freelance and contract work is paid per hour without overtime. If a specific contract does include an overtime rate, turn on the Overtime toggle and set your threshold and OT rate.
