Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate total hours worked? Enter your start time in the "Start" column and your end time in the "End" column. Toggle AM/PM as needed. The "Total" column updates automatically. All rows are summed at the bottom.
How are breaks handled? Enter your break time in H:MM format in the "Break" column (e.g. 0:30 for 30 minutes, 1:00 for one hour). The break is subtracted automatically. A 9:00 AM–5:00 PM shift with a 0:30 break equals 7 hours 30 minutes worked.
Does it support overnight shifts? Yes. If your end time is earlier than your start time — for example, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM — the calculator automatically treats it as an overnight shift and gives the correct duration.
Can I calculate my pay? Yes. Enter your hourly rate at the top of the page and select your currency. Your total earnings are displayed next to your total hours as you type.
How do I export or save my timesheet? Click Print / Save PDF. Your browser's print window opens and you can save as a PDF. The printed version hides the buttons for a clean look.
How many rows can I add? Unlimited. Click + Add Row for each additional shift or day. Track a full week, two weeks, or an entire month in one sheet.
Is my data saved between sessions? Entries stay in your browser while the page is open, but are not saved when you close the tab. For permanent tracking and history across multiple clients, download the free Clock In/Out app for Android — it stores all your data locally on your device with no account needed.
Is this calculator free to use? Yes, completely free with no registration required. Open the page, enter your times, and you're done.
